Ulysses S. Grant is the main Union commander who commands the Army of the Potomac and the rest of the Union armies. However, he gives the Army of Maryland's command over to George McClellan.
Grant was known for his large failure at the Defense of Richmond where he lost twice as many soldiers than the Confederate's.
